Cloud walls

The colour we chose for our walls is a light grey with blue and green undertones. It looks different in different rooms and changes as the sunlight shifts. It complements the marble fireplaces, and I could envisage it creating a nice contrast with our soon-to-be-sanded pine floors. When we first tested it, we thought it resembled cloudy Scottish skies. What more could we possibly want?

Before applying the paint, we removed the lining paper from the walls, repositioned the electric sockets, and gave the walls a fresh layer of plastering. We opted for a chalky matt finish.

We also sanded the doors, window frames, skirting boards, and press cupboards, and then painted them white in an eggshell finish. We painted the ceilings, ceiling roses, and cornicing to match our woodwork.
